KENTUCKY LAKE OUTDOOR ADVENTURES

Reconnect with Nature

Let’s face it.  Life can be quite stressful.  Work-life balance, taking care of your family and juggling the ever-increasing cost of living just piles on the pressure.

Here at Kentucky Lake, we are in the “de-stressing” business.  Away from big cities and urban settings, Kentucky Lake offers a literal breath of fresh air.

With so much water and shoreline, access to a plethora of outdoor activities, and some of the friendliest people around, Kentucky Lake will help you reconnect with nature.

So welcome to our website.  We’ve created this tool to help you take your next step to finding a place that your whole family will love – all without the hustle and bustle, noise, and crowds.

Recent online, radio, social, and digital marketing campaigns for the Kentucky Lake CVB have been paid in part by the Kentucky Department of Tourism. For more information on KDT, please click the logo.

During Invasive Species Awareness Week, we’re highlighting some of the science happening right here in the Purchase Region.

On Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake, our fisheries crews are catching and tagging invasive carp — and yes, releasing them.

That might seem backwards at first. Why not just remove them?

Because if we’re going to win this fight, we have to understand the opponent.

By tagging these fish, biologists can track their movements, monitor survival, identify travel corridors and hotspots, and better target future removal efforts. The data we gather helps us be more strategic, more efficient, and more effective at slowing their spread.

This is science-based management in action!
