Calvert City’s Ameribration Celebration

Calvert City’s AmeriBration kicks off festivities on June 24 ending with the parade and fireworks celebrating Independence Day on July 5. The City of Calvert City encourages the region to make plans to attend the many events organized by local businesses and Calvert Area Development Association (CADA).

“AmeriBration is a long-standing tradition in Calvert City. Memorial Park is full of golf carts from residents, and many from our region. CADA organizes this event which is made up of residents and local businesses. Events like this couldn’t happen without the generosity of our volunteers,” said Blair Travis, director of marketing, communications, and business development for the City of Calvert City.

The first event to kick off is the Ameribration Pageant on June 24. This year is the first year for registration to go only online. The deadline to register is June 21 and there is no registration at the door. All participants must register online by clicking the link below. The cost to register is $20 and $5 to be included in the Miss Photogenic contest. If you participate in the Miss Photogenic contest, please bring a photograph. The dress for the pageant is red, white, and blue summer attire. Register HERE.

Weekly, every Friday in Calvert City Memorial Park, have lunch at your favorite food truck from 10:30 AM through 1:30 PM through July. The food truck lineups can be found on Calvert City’s Facebook page under the Food Truck Friday Events tab.

Back again, organized by local business owner, Chelsy Solomon, it’s an event you don’t want to miss! The Veterans Brunch is on June 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lakeland Event Center on the corner of Hwy 95 and Hwy 62. Veterans eat free at the brunch and funds raised will be donated to the Hugs Project of Western Kentucky and A Soldier’s Heart, Bluegrass & Muddy Waters. Enjoy a full spread of food provided by local restaurant, 50’s Cafe. $15 for adults and $5 for children.

The Calvert City Museum, driven by local Calvert City resident, Bobbie Foust, will be on display on July 4 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calvert City Civic Center. Walk through local history spanning over 150 years.
