We are super excited about starting this podcast. Um, I’ll be your host. Elena Blevins, the executive director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau. 00:00:45 Speaker 1: Very nice. So this is our very first episode. We are excited about kicking it off with probably the biggest sort of moment of our entire season. Um, and probably one of the things that people just suggest and or connect with most whenever they think of Kentucky Lake. And that is summer. Um, and fourth of July. So and this year is exceptionally a big deal because it’s America. Two fifty. So we’re, we’re celebrating America’s two hundred and fiftieth birthday and we always do it big here at Kentucky Lake every year for the fourth of July. Um, so, but we want to spend the podcast today really kind of talking about, um, what people can expect if they choose to come here and spend the fourth or why they should come here and spend the fourth with us. So, um, I think we’re going to cover a couple of things, but then we also have a couple of special guests. So we’re really excited to bring on Blair Travis, who is the marketing director for the City of Calvert. And then, uh, miss Misty Grebner, owner of Moor’s Resort, to talk about kind of what they’ve got going on during the holiday as well. So yeah, let’s, uh, let’s kick it off.
00:01:52 Speaker 2: Yeah, let’s hit it. So this is super exciting. I agree, I don’t think anything says America. Two fifty more than a summer at Kentucky Lake and especially the Fourth of July at Kentucky Lake.
00:02:03 Speaker 1: Yes, one hundred percent agree. So, um, you did a little bit of research. You did all the hard work for everybody. You scoured the internet and looked on Facebook and all the places to kind of find a fun, you know, a few fun things to talk about. And, uh, so let’s, let’s kick things off with July second. Um, what’s going on July second?
00:02:23 Speaker 2: Okay, so on July second, the first thing that is going to kind of kick off the weekend is going to be mega works, which is hosted by Poppy’s Habanero and Mega Jim. The events start at three p m and this is not only a fun event for everyone else, it’s also an event that’s going to give back. I don’t want to get this wrong. They’re going to give back to shop with a cop, Marshall County Exceptional Center and the Humane Society of Marshall County. So that’s super exciting. You can go enjoy the fireworks, live music, ice cream, cotton candy while supporting a great cause. And they’re also doing VIP sponsor tables. They include reserved seating, a catered meal service, open bar access, and sponsor recognition. And I’ve heard those are kind of going pretty fast. So if that’s something you’re interested in when this comes out, you probably want to get on that.
00:03:14 Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. So yeah, that covers July second. So now let’s talk July third, which Benton decided to get in on the action this year with it being America two fifty. Um, so they are actually going to be hosting a very family friendly event at h h Levitt Park on July third. So, um, that afternoon from about four to seven p m, um, the, the city and the Benton Partnership would love to invite the community out to, out to the park, um, for just some really great fun activities. So they’re going to have a dunk tank and, um, a petting zoo, I believe bounce houses, yard games, um, maybe even a foam party, which might be kind of Interesting. Sounds awesome. I know I’ve never participated in one of those before. Um, but yeah, so very family friendly. Um, I believe they’ve got, um, Larry Witt scheduled to, to grill and, uh, to, to have some food for, for everyone. Um, and, but yeah, it’s just going to be a really sort of great time. And then of course, that wraps up at seven o’clock. Um, and then everyone can head on out to Moor’s resort, I believe for their light up the sky celebration that they do. Um, which of course, I think Moor’s is also celebrating seventy five years. Yeah. Uh, a lot of anniversaries this year. Um, so, but we’ll let Misty talk. She comes on, um, here in a little bit and, uh, so we’ll talk a little bit more about that, um, in a little bit, but yeah, so there you go. July third, also taken care of. And, uh, we haven’t even gotten to the actual holiday yet.
00:04:46 Speaker 2: So actually on July fourth, we’re going to start at Twin Lakes fourth of July celebration. There’s going to be food by DJ smokehouse, which opens at five. Cash and cards are going to be accepted, so no matter what you have, that’ll work there. There’s also going to be music by the Sullivan three from seven to nine at the amphitheater at Kenlake. So yeah, that’s going to be awesome. And then they have a fireworks show that’s starting at dusk, which is super awesome. And then that morning actually is whenever Calvert City’s huge immigration event begins. So you can start your day there and then head over to Kenlake. You can go back and forth, kind of see what’s going on all across the county and Marshall County, honestly.
00:05:27 Speaker 1: I mean, we really have got something going on from top to bottom. Yes. So that’s exciting. So I believe Blair Travis, she’s our other guest. So she’ll be coming on and we’ll get a little bit more in depth about what goes on at the Calvert City Immigration, because it really is an entire day. Yes. I think they kick off with a cornhole tournament and then it doesn’t end till, you know, that night after the fireworks conclude. So, um, so yeah, so Thursday, Friday, Saturday, uh, you are set, um, to really come spend, um, quite a bit of time here at the lake. So, um, you know, a lot of our lodging partners, people will book their stays a year in advance. So, um, you know, depending on when you’re seeing this podcast, do not wait. Uh, we’re listening to it. I would get out and I would get online, visit us at our website, visit Kauai dot com. Um, to really start looking at some of your lodging options because, uh, we do book up, um, especially if it’s a weekend, um, which this year the fourth is falling on a weekend. So, um, it’s kind of, we’re sort of crammed all in all these activities. Um, yeah, but, but yeah, so, um, do not delay. I know we were actually looking at renting a boat. Um, and they’re booked, there’s, there’s no more boats available to rent. Um so on the fourth, which is good. I mean, I think that’s a good indicator. Yeah. A good indicator that that we’re going to have a busy weekend. Um, and it’s just, it’s going to be a lot of fun.

00:07:50 Speaker 1: Welcome to the Ripple effect. I love that, thank you. That’s the first time I’ve heard that. Thank you. You are our inaugural guest. That is really also really special. Awesome. But today’s podcast, we decided to really kind of launch with an event just because we feel like people need to know how to spend the Fourth of July on Kentucky Lake. And the best place, I think, to spend the Fourth of July is Calvert City. I can’t agree more. I thought so.

00:08:31 Speaker 4: Director of marketing for Calvert City. Mhm. Uh, I’ve been there for about eight years, and, um, immigration has just been one of my favorite events to plan. Um, from the very beginning, I think it started in like nineteen ninety nine or something like that. So a long time ago.
00:08:48 Speaker 1: Long time. Yeah, it’s about as old as me. Yeah.
00:08:51 Speaker 4: Uh, always has a good fireworks show. And, um, there’s plenty of things to do throughout the day, but what’s your favorite part about immigration?
00:08:59 Speaker 1: Uh, well, it was watermelon cutting. Stop it.
00:09:02 Speaker 4: Right now.
00:09:04 Speaker 1: I always volunteered to cut watermelon. We’ll give a little a.
00:09:07 Speaker 4: Little back story on the watermelon. So nineteen eighty nine, they started giving away free watermelon. And, you know, everybody would. All of the volunteers would cut them up and and people would just just attack you for them. And I didn’t really believe it. And until I worked my first watermelon, uh, bust, I guess. Yes. And holy moly. I mean, they go crazy for their watermelon and it is so hot in July. Mhm. And you’re sweating and you’re cutting watermelon. And we did not do it last year for the first time.
00:09:44 Speaker 1: But I think that what we end up doing popsicles.

00:09:48 Speaker 1: But this year we have something a little different. It is because not only is it the Fourth of July as it is every year, it is also America. Two fifty. That’s right. So we’re kind of doing something a little bit extra at a Cerebration this year and celebrating America’s two hundred and fiftieth birthday with a bunch of cupcakes.
00:10:08 Speaker 4: Yes. So celebrating the birthday. I know. Yeah. It is exciting. I think we’ve got, like, what, five hundred cupcakes or something?
00:10:15 Speaker 1: Yeah. We’re going to shoot between somewhere between five hundred and seven hundred and fifty cupcakes for free for people to just come and enjoy. So that’s exciting. But let’s back up. Should we? Okay. Should we, should we go back to sort of how do you kick off the day at a minor abrasion?
00:10:34 Speaker 4: Um, gosh, it starts early in the morning. Uh, we have our cornhole tournament. It’s been happening for a really, really long time. Okay. Uh, and it’s really competitive.
00:10:44 Speaker 1: Yeah. Cash money. Right.
00:10:46 Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. Cash money. Uh, it’s twenty dollars to enter, um, per team. You bring your own boards. Okay. And it starts, uh, I think registration starts at ten or nine. Sorry. Registration starts at nine to nine thirty. Then the tournament starts at ten. Okay.
00:11:02 Speaker 1: Where at where? Like where at in Calvert does the cornhole tournament?
00:11:06 Speaker 4: Usually pretty much everything takes place in Memorial Park. Uh, Calvert City Memorial Park. So it’s where the amphitheater is. It’s where the splash pad is. Uh, that’s really kind of our main event area. Now the cornhole tournament takes place right behind the amphitheater in the shade. Shade? Yeah, it’s in the shade. Uh, my husband and I, Garrett, he, we we decided we were going to do the cornhole tournament long before I worked here because we thought we were good and it was bad. It was real bad.
00:11:37 Speaker 1: I mean, we lost like, like twenty to nothing or whatever. I was like twenty or twenty one. Yeah. You didn’t even get a point. Did not even get a point on the board. It was really bad. Okay. It was really bad. Uh, so we did not do that again. Okay. But the the competition is fierce there, and it’s fun to watch just to sit and watch. And that starts at ten at Memorial Park. Okay. Twenty bucks. Uh, and then you. I think they split the pot, so. Okay. Yep. Well, you know, everyone loves a good comeback story, though. Should we maybe, like, you know, I don’t think training. Oh, okay. I don’t, I don’t think I don’t think we can make it. Not by the time you have said it’s very competitive. Yeah. Maybe we start now for next year, twenty twenty seven. Okay. Good deal. Okay. I like that. Yeah. Okay. So. All right. Kick things off with the cornhole tournament. Um, I believe there’s usually live music. So about what time does the live music start? Live music starts at eleven thirty. Okay. We’ve got bands all day from eleven thirty until eight p m at night. Okay. Uh, local bands, flat mounds. Uh, sticky bones. Uh, also, um, uh, deja blues. They’ll be playing and then we have a headliner this year. Marty Brown, he’s a singer songwriter. He has several songs that people may know. Um, like we’re from the country. I’m from the country, and I like it that way. Okay. So like nineties country. Yes. Like, oh, yeah, that’s gonna be a big, big hit. Yeah, I’m excited about that. And actually, I don’t even think I’ve posted that yet, so. Oh.
00:13:07 Speaker 5: All right. So we’ve got cornhole. We have live music. These are all things that anybody really can enjoy. Mostly, mostly probably adults though. So let’s talk a little bit about kids activities. Okay. I know that’s a big part of America.
00:13:19 Speaker 1: Yeah. There’s always something for kids to do. Um, with the Splashpad inflatables. Um, there’s something for all ages. Um, there’s a kids parade, so you can kind of decorate your, your ride, whether it be a bike or one of those motorized jeeps that, um, you can decorate that and participate in the kids parade, the Calvert City Masonic Lodge. They kind of had that up. And it’s always fun to see the kids, you know, driving through, uh, through Memorial Park. We also have a petting zoo. They’ll be there from twelve to six, uh, barnyard buddies. So we also have a nine hole mini golf. Uh, they’re going to be set up, uh, Tinker toys. Yeah, they were there last year. It was a really good hit because you could just walk up and play nine holes of putt putt. Uh, right in the middle of a merry, good little activity for family. It is also in the shade. Uh, it’ll kind of take the place of the cornhole tournament. Once they get out, then the Tinker Tinker toys will come in. And then we have vendors and crafts. Right now, I think we have forty seven arts and craft vendors. And then we have, um, like sixteen food trucks.

00:14:28 Speaker 1: Literally all different kinds of food trucks, um, anywhere from tacos to, um, you know, cotton candy, all your fanfare favorites. Um, you know, long corn dogs and funnel cakes and barbecue stuff. Barbecue. Lots of barbecue tacos.
00:14:45 Speaker 5: I think there usually is a good variety. I mean, because that’s something Calvert City all throughout the season, you know, they have food truck Fridays. So I mean food trucks. There really is a great variety that’s used to coming to Calvert. And I really think that they really kind of show out. So that’s, um, that’s always one of my favorite parts about the day is, is just going to getting to snack on all different kinds of food.
00:15:08 Speaker 1: So it is true. You know, when I first started food truck Friday, they, we had, um, four trucks that were on my list. Now I have thirty two that I text message. So it’s just crazy. Just over eight years. How much that’s become really a popular thing. So, uh, but yeah, food trucks will be there starting at eleven o’clock. Go until nine. Uh, you’ve got pretty much everything kicks off at about eleven minus the cornhole tournament that starts at ten and it’ll go all day. Long. Live music. Um, something for the kids. Grab your food. Uh, you’ll see people on golf carts, um, riding around and just enjoying the day. And then we end the evening with, uh, the parade at six o’clock and the parade this year. The theme this year is we the people celebrating our community and our unity. So it’s just really kind of, you know, feeding off of the values that bring people together. And, you know, immigration is so much like a family reunion. Um, it’s really a tradition for people around here. And it’s a new tradition for people that, you know, have moved here. Uh, we always have people from Katie’s and, um, you know, Illinois, they’re like, we come here every year. Yeah.
00:16:20 Speaker 5: It’s like a homecoming. It really is. Yeah, I think so.

00:16:23 Speaker 5: That’s awesome. If you had to guess about how many people you think come to America each year, what would you guess?
00:16:30 Speaker 1: So we did a we did a geofence, um, probably two years ago. And within the two days in that park setting, um we had like eighteen thousand come through. Uh, but that’s a long day. So, you know, it doesn’t feel like a lot of people because, you know, it’s very spread out. The park is really big. Um, but also, you know, it starts at ten o’clock. So you have people coming in and out all day long. Um, and there’s people that just, you know, camp up and stay and, you know, bring their tent. And I love people that come for the music because they’ve got like their pop up tent and their cooler and, you know, they’re ready to stay for the full day. Um, which is great.
00:17:14 Speaker 5: Good. And I know, I know earlier I said my favorite part was the watermelon and I do, I have, I love that.
00:17:20 Speaker 1: The only reason why you like that is because you’re really good at cutting watermelon.
00:17:23 Speaker 5: I feel like I, like, broke a record.
00:17:25 Speaker 1: You really.
00:17:25 Speaker 5: Did. I don’t really think we were keeping record, but I. I think we were because you.
00:17:31 Speaker 1: Did really well. I mean, you cut like, watermelon nonstop and.
00:17:35 Speaker 5: And.
00:17:35 Speaker 1: You pumped them out really fast, but no, sorry.

00:17:38 Speaker 5: That, but it’s not really my favorite because my favorite, favorite part of immigration is the fireworks.
00:17:44 Speaker 1: Yeah, they’re pretty great.
00:17:46 Speaker 5: Um, so I know that after the parade, it’s usually like you said, six o’clock. So once that ends, people can then sort of hang out for a little bit longer. Um, but the, the fireworks actually shoot from kind of over behind.
00:18:02 Speaker 1: The pickleball courts.
00:18:03 Speaker 5: The pickleball courts. So with, for people who want to come watch the fireworks. Where do you suggest sort of the best place for them to kind of camp out and watch those?
00:18:12 Speaker 1: So the parade starts at six and it’s usually over with about seven. And then we will have the birthday cake at the Civic Center. So we’ll hand that cake out. And then from there you can see the fireworks anywhere from the Civic Center. So you can sit from the Civic Center behind the library. There’s a really large field, lots of parking at the basketball courts. And really, you can see them at Memorial Park too. Um, they are really high, but you’re not going to get the full visibility at Memorial Park. So you want to walk across the street, get to the Civic Center in that area. Um, people sit at the ball fields. Yeah. Um, there’s a really large field there. A lot of people sit at behind City Hall. Um, so anywhere in that area really is a great place to watch them. And this year we’ve added more to them. So last year was was amazing. I thought they were great. But this year because it’s America’s two fifty, we wanted to really do something special and just kind of blow it out. So really excited to see how that goes. But it is right by the pickleball courts. The pickleball courts will be closed during that that time frame. Like you can’t be, you know, playing pickleball right beside the fireworks going off. Unfortunately, we have to there’s like a, like a one hundred and fifty, uh, one hundred and fifty feet perimeter. Do we have to build around the fireworks? So but anywhere from like the basketball courts in that area, to me, that’s the best place to watch.
00:19:37 Speaker 5: Okay. Yeah, I know, I think last year I was in sort of a grassy area kind of right between, um, the library and city Hall. Um, I think there was some. Yeah. It’s great. Yeah, it was perfect. So I mean, you know, I do think it’s always good to kind of just sort of prepare people. Lots of people come watch these fireworks. So, you know, Calvert City is a small community. So getting out of the community after the fireworks, it takes a little bit of time. So just kind of be patient. Um, but you know, it’s everybody’s just slow and steady. And, you know.
00:20:08 Speaker 1: I always tell people to, to plan their route because yeah, there are so many routes out of Calvert City like it. And it does, you know, it takes maybe, you know, fifteen, twenty minutes to get out, but if you know a different route, it’s not going to take you long to get out because everybody’s going the same way. Uh, but there’s several different ways that you can go to get out of Calvert City.
00:20:28 Speaker 5: Good. Okay. That’s that’s good. Good to know. So really for for people who are not familiar, or maybe they, you know, they’re coming in from out of town to visit. Um, I think this is great information for them to really sort of understand how to spend the day in Calvert. So it’s basically show up any time of the day, there’s going to be something going on for families. Um, it’s a very family friendly event. Um, but I would say if you plan on coming later in the afternoon, you really should just plan on being there for the rest of the day because probably by after four o’clock or five o’clock, it’s going to be one thing right after the other, and you don’t want to miss any of it. So, um, so that’s exciting. Are there any like sponsors or anyone that, you know, you kind of need to, we need to give a shout out to for helping put on an air abrasion? Or is this something that really the community and the city of Calvert takes pride in and they take care of it.
00:21:17 Speaker 1: We definitely could not do this without our volunteers. Our volunteer base is through Calvert Area Development Association. Kedah. Yes. Short for Kedah and through Kedah. We have a membership. That is just wonderful. I could not ask for anything more. These events wouldn’t happen because of them, and they really make it just so easy to plan and organize and a few sponsors that we have that’s through Kedah, our platinum sponsorships. That is low stress, amigo. Um, we have fifty cafe. Okay. Also Lake Kim credit union and, uh, Hillary washer State farm. They, uh, are just amazing sponsors for the event and they really kind of, um, you know, they sponsor every year and, and, and they sponsor all of our events, which is great, but without them, things like this wouldn’t happen.

00:22:57 Speaker 5: All right. Welcome back to the Ripple Effect. Today’s episode is all about the Fourth of July on Kentucky Lake. And I’m super happy and excited to be here with Misty Graebner, owner of Moor’s Resort Marina. Hi, Misty.
00:23:09 Speaker 6: Hey, thanks for having me. Of course, I appreciate it. Yep. I’m misty. Um, I own Moor’s Resort with my husband Josh, and then our two kids also work there, Reed and Sydney. And so we have owned it. Now this is our fifth summer. Oh, wow. Yeah. Fifth summer. We bought it in October of twenty one. And so, um, this is, this is a big summer. It’s fifth year, seventy fifth anniversary of Moor’s. We are gearing up for a big week in just a couple of weeks.
00:23:38 Speaker 5: I know it’s going to be here before we know it. So tell us a little bit. I know this is also a big year for Moor’s Resort because they’re celebrating seventy five years. Is that correct?
00:23:47 Speaker 6: Yeah. So Moor’s um started in nineteen fifty one. Um, it’s our seventy fifth year. Um, we literally started as like a little tiny fishing camp, um, with, you know, one little tiny Marina, a little four plex of cottages, a little tiny bait store. And that’s about it. And so what it has evolved to into these last seventy five years has just really been, um, what the owners in the previous years have wanted it to be, which is a family friendly resort that you can basically go and go there and literally do anything you want and not have to leave.
00:24:28 Speaker 5: Yeah, we’re actually we just we were there filming last week and, uh, and that was one of the big selling points that you really wanted people to know about Moor’s Resort is that it really can feel all inclusive. Like once you get there, you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to.
00:24:41 Speaker 6: Yeah, I think, and I think that that is one thing that maybe people don’t even know about Moor’s is that you, you can come and stay at Moor’s and never have to leave. You can stay there. You can eat there. We have a restaurant, you can rent a boat, you can fish, we have a pool. You can do all of the things, um, right there and not have to leave. You can even get your groceries delivered. We do not have a grocery store. That is the one thing we don’t have. There is one very close. Um, but you know, you can literally have an all inclusive stay with us and not have to leave the resort. And it’s very family friendly. It does kind of feel a little bit retro when you’re there, because, you know, we have been there for seventy five years. And so we have the four original cottages, still the same brick walls that people love to rent. That’s honestly our number one rented cottages. I don’t think first four player, the four plex that was originally built. Um, and so, you know, it does have a nostalgic feel to it. And we do have a sand beach that, you know, um, is, is kind of takes you back into the day when people would, um, you know, come and stay there and the lake and maybe not as many boats were as prominent as they are now. And people would, you know, swim in the lake and sun and, and go have a little bite to eat and, um, and fish and, and stay in the little cottages. It’s kind of neat actually. We love it, you.
00:26:05 Speaker 5: Know, and I think people really traveling, you know, they’re looking for unique and sort of moments to really kind of break off from their habit, from their normal kind of chaotic life and step into something that is just a slower pace and more relaxing. So I love the nostalgic vibe that we offer here. And you know, we’re not a franchise destination. And I think that that is something that we probably don’t harp on and sort of shout from the rooftops enough is that, you know, our tourism industry here is primarily supported by private business and small business, really, you.
00:26:37 Speaker 6: Know, a lot of, um, actually the majority of the businesses on Kentucky Lake are privately owned. We are the largest privately owned, full service resort on Kentucky Lake on, on this side of Kentucky, like the north end. Um, now. And so, you know, we do take pride in that, you know, it’s a family business for us. Um, all my, my kids work there. I have a fourteen year old son who this is his first summer kind of entering the workforce. Um, and then my twenty year old is home from college and she’s the assistant manager at the Marina. It’s her fifth season there. So it is a true family business. I mean, we live right, right on, on site there. And so, um, it is a family owned business made for families. And so we really, um, cater to bringing your family and having a good, good family vacation.
00:27:27 Speaker 5: I know, so which is, I guess a great reason to come for the fourth because it is so family friendly. So circling back to that, what can guests expect during that weekend during the Fourth of July?
00:27:39 Speaker 6: Well, so many years ago. Um, and I don’t even know when it started. I don’t know what year the fireworks started, but they are always July third. Um, so no question, they’re not ever going to be on a different date. They’re always going to be on July third, rain or shine. Hopefully shine. It does create a little, a little, little hardship when it does rain. Um, but it’s always on the third. Um, and you know, we try to make it a little bit bigger and better every year. So this year we um, like last year have partnered with country Chevrolet and powersports of America. And they are two of our, um, our big partners that we work with a lot. And so they came to us and they wanted to be partners and make it a great, um, event for everyone. And so with that, we have been able to do a longer show. Um, and last year we had like probably a thousand to fifteen hundred boats on the water. Oh, wow. Um, it was really big last year. Not to mention all the people on land. Um, and so you can watch the fireworks via boat on land. Um right at Moor’s. Um it is, it is a little chaotic sometimes, so be prepared for crowds and be prepared. People bring their lawn chairs and set. Um, we will have the snack box open. You can get pizza from there. Marina. Ice cream. Well of course the restaurant will be open. Um, the gift shop and everything. So everything will be open, like for food and stuff. But feel free to bring lawn chairs, get there early, find a parking spot and be prepared to have a great Fourth of July celebration. I mean, it is America’s two hundred and fiftieth year.
00:29:20 Speaker 5: So a big year for us all.
00:29:21 Speaker 6: Be prepared to have some, you know, some it’s going to be a little bit of excitement, I think. So Josh has done something. I have no idea what he won’t even tell me. So I don’t.
00:29:30 Speaker 5: Even have a surprise.
00:29:31 Speaker 6: It’s kind of I don’t even know. I sometimes don’t ask, but, you know, um, you know, being that, uh, family business, sometimes when you work with your spouse, some some questions are left unanswered.
00:29:42 Speaker 5: The mystery can be tolerated. It can be a good thing.
00:29:44 Speaker 6: So, so, so there should be a little bit of a surprise. Um, but it’s going to be big and hopefully the weather will, um, grace us with sunshine. Yes.
00:29:53 Speaker 5: Mother nature, she’s going to be kind, I believe it, I believe it so. Well good deal. Do you still have availability for the fourth.
00:29:59 Speaker 6: Um I it it depends every day. It depends. Every night. Um we do, you can call, we do have a waiting list. Um so and things change every day. So people’s plans change. So if you call or if you get online at Morrisons dot com and there’s nothing that you want available, feel free to give our front office a call and get on a waiting list. You can get on a waiting list for boats. You can get on a waiting list for rooms or the lodge. Um, and and that way if something does cancel, you’ll be on the list for us to call you. So, um, but we do, we do, I think have a couple, but limited availability. Yeah. Because it changes, it changes constantly.
00:30:40 Speaker 5: So okay. Well, is there any going to be live entertainment? Is the restaurant doing anything.
00:30:43 Speaker 6: So we will have um, live entertainment. Um Tyler Stephenson is going to be there. Um, and he is going to actually be there the third and the fourth. So it’s going to be kind of like a Tyler Stephenson weekend. Yeah. Um, and he is um, someone local that has come out a couple times. Um, and he’s great to listen to, we tell them to gather up his, you know, patriotic songs and get ready to play. Um, and so we will have him there. Um, he does not play actually during the fireworks though, so there will be a pause for that. But it will be seven to ten on the third and seven to ten on the fourth. Um and so we will we’ll have him there.
00:31:22 Speaker 5: Certainly lots of opportunity, lots of fun things for everybody.
00:31:25 Speaker 6: There’s no reason that if you come to Kentucky like that, you cannot find something to do.
