Friday

Whether you are traveling with 2 people or 18 people, Cozy Cove Waterfront Resort has the perfect place for your group! Cozy Cove, nestled quietly on the shores of Kentucky Lake, has the perfect cabin vibes that are sure to help you make the most of your long weekend relaxing getaway!
Dinner: Fast Eddie’s Place Restaurant
For a delicious dinner in a place you won’t forget, check out Fast Eddie’s. Their fried catfish alone is worth the wait! In addition to their amazing fish, they also have delicious pizza, and a wide-variety of other great options.
Evening: S’mores and a Campfire at Cozy Cove Waterfront Resort
While staying at Cozy Cove, you will have access to several amenities, including a fire pit and firewood! Be sure to pack the ingredients for s’mores so you can roast marshmallows over the campfire all evening long.
Saturday
Breakfast: Deaton’s Cafe
For a classic delicious breakfast, visit Deaton’s Cafe. Not only does Deaton’s offer the classic breakfast items, they also bring to the table avocado toast and scrambles that are amazing. You can mix and match any of the items on their menu to create your perfect breakfast!
Morning: Boat Rental from Cozy Cove
After a delicious breakfast, head back to Cozy Cove and rent a pontoon or tritoon. Boat sizes range, accommodating up to 15 people. If you enjoy watersports, several of their boats can pull skis and tubes, making for an exciting morning!
Lunch: The Burger Barn at Kenlake Marina
While you’re riding the rental boat around, head on down to The Burger Barn at Kenlake Marina. Tie your boat up and enjoy a tasty meal on a floating barge. If you’re ready to escape the heat, enjoy their air conditioned inside seating, or if it feels too good outside to be inside, check out their patio. Inside and outside seating both have excellent views of Kentucky Lake! Their fried shrimp is what we would recommend to order.
Afternoon: Continue Boating
After lunch, find a nice cove to relax in and enjoy the lovely afternoon on Kentucky Lake. Swim, soak in family and friends time, and savor the unplugged afternoon.
Dinner: The Dinner Bell
The Dinner Bell is like no other restaurant around. We recommend arriving before or after the typical dinner crowd to ensure your wait is as low as possible. Although the wait might be a minute, the food there is well worth it. Take a step back in time and choose from several southern classics, served right off of old-fashioned stoves.
Evening: Drinks and Live Music at The Dam Brewhaus
After a long day out on the water, relax for an evening with a night at The Dam Brewhaus. The Brewhaus has tons of different beers on tap, featuring a wide variety of flavors. On the weekends, most of the time The Brewhaus has live music, and not only do they have a wide variety of beers and ciders, they also have a wide variety of music. You never know what you’re going to get, but it is guaranteed to be a great time!
Sunday
Breakfast: Dub House in Benton, KY
Not many places in this area are open for breakfast on Sunday, with the exception of Waffle House and Cracker Barrel, but if you’re looking for a local spot to get a good, quick breakfast, check out Dub House. Be sure to visit the one in Benton to sit down and enjoy a pastry!
Morning: Swim at Cozy Cove
Cozy Cove has a nice beach area, complete with a sandy beach, a slide, a dock, and more! It is so nice to kick back in one of their comfortable chairs and read a book, or play in the water.
Lunch: Amazin’ Blaze Bar-B-Que
Not far from Cozy Cove is a delicious Bar-B-Que restaurant, Amazin’ Blaze! Amazin’ Blaze is well-known for their delicious brisket tacos and ribs. You can enjoy their outdoor or indoor seating. BONUS: After lunch, head right next door to Belew’s Dairy Bar for dessert!
Afternoon: Soda Tasting Sunday at The Hitching Post & Old Country Store
Every Sunday, The Hitching Post has a Soda Showdown, where visitors can try 10 different sodas, and cast their vote for the best one! The sodas are always unique, old-fashioned flavors, ranging from the classics to the interesting flavors. Stay awhile at the store and play outdoor games, watch vintage TV shows, and if you’re lucky, hear some live music!
Dinner + Evening:
For Families: The Calvert Drive-In
The Calvert Drive-In is a Kentucky Lake staple. A trip isn’t really complete before you’ve seen a movie on the classic outdoor big screen. Not only do they show awesome movies, but they have awesome food too! Their burgers, pizza, and of course, popcorn are delicious–so good that some people just go for the food!
For Adults: We recommend Marshall Yards, a show at the Kentucky Opry, or an evening trip to Paducah!
Monday
Breakfast: Four Seasons Restaurant
If you immediately want to be transported back to your Grandma’s kitchen, eat at the Four Seasons Restaurant. They’ve got hot browns, hashbrown bowls, and huge pancakes. So delicious you will want to try it all!
Morning: Land Between the Lakes
On your way out of town, make one last stop at Kentucky Lake in Land Between the Lakes. LBL has several different fun stops, such as the Woodlands Nature Station, the Elk & Bison Prairie, and the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm!
Lunch: Archer’s in Hardin
Before leaving, stop by Archer’s in Hardin for a delicious smashburger, handmade pizza, and huge milkshakes! While you’re waiting for your food, enjoy their arcade! Be sure to check out the caboose while you’re there. The Bourbon Bacon Crunch Burger is to die for, and the fries are amazing too!
